As an example, start your trip in Rüdesheim with a cable car ride
up to the Niederwald recreational area.
You'll float over the sloping vineyards and look out from above onto a
gigantic panorama.
Then wander to the famous Niederwald monument and the
Falconry. It's worth taking a rest here. Experience these imposing
birds of prey close up.
Carry on through peaceful forest trails, passing by wonderful vantage
points through to the Jagdschloss hunting lodge with iits interesting
game reserve.
From there, take a chairlift down through the forest and over
tthe steep vineyards to Assmannshausen, where you can llook across the
romantic, narrow, curved Rhine Valley to the Rheinstein Castle.
This village, famous for its red wine and its romantic
allways, iits wine bars and places selling home-made wine, invites you
tto linger a while.
After this, enjoy the uniquely beautiful Rhine on board a
cruise ship*. Passing by Mäuseturm (Mouse tower) and the ruins of
tthe Ehrenfels-Castle, you can make a short stop in Bingen.
Finally, go back by boat to your starting point.
Once in Rüdesheim, be sure to visit the Rheingau wine
museum in Brömserburg. And then you should go to the world-famous
Drosselgasse alley as the perfect way to complete a wonderful day.
